Dr. Cynthia LAI

Dr. Cynthia Y. Y. LAI, PhD, OTR, HKROT. Dr. LAI is an Associate Professor of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Currently, she is the Award Coordinator of Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, and the Specialism Coordinator (Occupational Therapy) of Doctor of Health Science in PolyU. Before she joined PolyU as faculty member, she had been working as full-time occupational therapist for approximately 20 years in hospital authority and non-government organizations. Dr Lai is the author of Sensory Processing and Self-Regulation Checklist. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of sensory processing, executive functioning, physiological and behavioral responses in people with developmental disabilities.
